[E-Daily] AMCG Presents Technology Commercialization Case at 'Quantum Science and Technology Forum' Hosted by Ministry of Science and ICT AMCG announced on the 24th that it participated in the 'Quantum Science and Technology Forum' held at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science on the 21st and presented its technology commercialization case. The forum was attended by Minister of Science and ICT Yoo Sang-im, President of the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science Lee Ho-sung, Director of the Superconducting Quantum Computing System Research Center Lee Yong-ho, and others. Two companies, including AMCG, presented technology commercialization cases. AMCG CEO Seo Yong-sung presented the commercialization achievements of the magnetocardiography system based on quantum sensing technology received from the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science, and shared the unmet needs and global market opportunities in the field of heart disease diagnosis. He also stated, "The active support of the government in the medical field, which has great opportunity factors as an application field of quantum sensing technology, is a great help," and expressed his ambition, "We will do our best to grow as a manufacturer of new medical devices that are widely used globally after overcoming competition." At this forum, Minister Yoo Sang-im emphasized, "Continuous research and development of quantum science and technology, a national strategic technology, as well as securing a quantum industry ecosystem through technology commercialization is very important." She also added, "I urge the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science, as a government-funded research institute, to lead the development of quantum science and technology and quantum industry by actively communicating with industry, academia, and research institutes and bringing together domestic quantum science and technology capabilities through the establishment of a quantum strategic technology center." In response, AMCG CEO Seo Yong-sung said, "Government-level support and the role of the Ministry of Science and ICT are important for the success of the technology transfer business from government-funded research institutes. AMCG will do its best to become an exemplary case and widely promote the excellence of national technology in the global market." AMCG, established in 2021, has pursued commercialization after receiving Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID) technology and Magnetocardiography (MCG) system technology from the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS). It is a company engaged in the heart disease diagnostic medical device business, having obtained item approvals from both domestic and US food and drug administrations.
