On 31 March 2021, AMCG signed a technology transfer agreement for magnetocardiography system technology at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS).

The licensed technology is the magnetocardiography (MCG) system developed over some two decades by a team led by Dr. Yong-Ho Lee at KRISS, including the core SQUID sensor technology.

The system diagnoses cardiac disease by measuring the faint biomagnetic fields produced by the heartbeat. It uses neither radiation nor contrast agents and is designed for early diagnosis of arrhythmia and myocardial ischemia.

AMCG was founded on this transferred technology and has since brought it toward market through approval by Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and clearance by the US FDA.
