R&DAll-in-one Heart Disease Diagnostic Solution
Technology Differentiation
MCG measures the magnetic field the heart itself generates.Unlike ECG, which reads surface potentials through electrodes, it is far less affected by body tissue.
The signal is about one hundred-millionth of the earth’s magnetic field, so we use SQUID sensors to read it.
01
Proprietary sensor technology
Commercialized from 30 years of research accumulated at KRISS.
- 2nd-generation DROS design with 10× the sensitivity of the first generation
- Our own clean room for sensor fabrication, so quality is controlled in-house
- The world's first 96-channel configuration covering the whole heart at once
02
Cooling that lowers running cost
SQUID needs cryogenic temperatures, and the helium bill has been the barrier to wider adoption.
- Proprietary technology that reliquefies and recirculates helium
- Greatly reduced burden of periodic helium refills
- Collaboration with Sumitomo Heavy Industries on advancing the cooling stack
03
AI-based reading
Measuring is not enough. Reading the signal clinically is where the value is.
- Reading models trained on data accumulated from multi-centre trials
- Ischemia and arrhythmia diagnosis with 3D localization
- Quantitative indicators that reduce variance between readers
How it differs from existing tests
| MCG | ECG | CT · CAG | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Measures | Cardiac magnetic field | Surface potential | Vessel structure |
| Radiation | None | None | Yes |
| Contrast media | None | None | Required |
| Invasiveness | Non-invasive | Non-invasive | Invasive (CAG) |
| Functional abnormality | Detected | Limited | Difficult |
| Repeat testing | No burden | No burden | Cumulative exposure |
