On June 17, AMCG and Sumitomo Heavy Industries (SHI) of Japan signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to strengthen the business cooperation between the two companiesThe signing ceremony, held at AMCG's headquarters, was attended by key executives from each company, including AMCG CEO Yongseong Seo and SHI Cryogenics Division Vice President Chie Okamoto.

AMCG, which is engaged in the business of diagnostic medical devices for heart disease using superconducting quantum sensors based on cardiac magnetic resonance scans (tiny magnetic fields emitted by cardiac muscle cells when the heart contracts and relaxes), has been strategically collaborating with Sumitomo Heavy Industries, a world leader in cryogenic equipment, to advance one of its core technologies, the helium reliquefaction system.

The agreement aims to establish a partnership to collaborate on refrigeration unit modification and development, support maintenance, and strengthen competitiveness and positioning in the market. Based on the trust that has been built, the two companies plan to continue discussions on refrigeration unit modifications suitable for use in MCG scan environments, and to build a mutually beneficial partnership to grow together in both domestic and international markets.

Prior to the signing ceremony, the two companies visited Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital, which is conducting a clinical trial to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of AMCG's MCG scan, to tour the MCG-S and major facilities, and share ideas on how to improve the refrigeration modification technology in the future.

“We will continue to work closely together to find a mutually beneficial path and create results that meet the expectations of our customers and the market,” said Yongseong Seo, CEO of AMCG. “This agreement will provide us with access to a global network and further strengthen the competitiveness of MCG scan in the global market.”
